  • Newer, lower-cost pipelines and cheap expansion projects have overwhelmed the Permian, North America’s biggest oil market, and disrupted fee-for-service revenues of the legacy operators. Recent higher WTI prices however point to higher production forecasts than we previously expected, somewhat brightening the outlook for Permian egress pipelines.
  •  U.S. natural gas storage posted the second-largest withdrawal on record last week, and the largest ever in the South-Central producing region, amid a bitter Arctic front that has erased a persistent storage overhang and tightened the 2021 gas market.
